I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful people who helped make the Court of Common Pleas' move to Norwalk High School a great success. Thanks to the Huron County Commissioners for investing in the courthouse. With these current improvements this historic building will serve the citizens of Huron County well for many years to come.
I cannot say enough about the assistance the court has received from the Norwalk City Schools. The school board and Superintendent Wayne Babcanec graciously volunteered both the space we needed and, more importantly, the help we needed to make the move work. The support and maintenance staff at the high school has been responsive to each and every request.
The maintenance crew for the county, Viking Technology and the staffs of both the court and clerk of courts offices worked very hard to make the transition smooth. Their efforts are greatly appreciated. I would be remiss if I did not also thank the attorneys, the litigants and the public in general for their patience and cooperation during this time of transition.
Everyone pulling together has made our time at the high school quite pleasant. While we look forward to our return to the courthouse on Monday, we will all remember fondly the summer we went back to school.
