Winter weather advisory issued for Huron County, surrounding areas

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Huron County and the surrounding areas that will be in effect from 6 a.m. to noon today (Monday, March 18, 2013).

OVERVIEW: WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD NORTHEAST ACROSS THE AREA TODAY.
THE PRECIPITATION WILL LIKELY START AS SNOW THEN SWITCH TO
FREEZING RAIN FOR A FEW HOURS BEFORE TEMPERATURES WARM ENOUGH FOR
RAIN. A SLIGHT GLAZE OF ICE IS POSSIBLE ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA. A
FEW COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST OHIO COULD SEE A SIGNIFICANT GLAZE OF
ICE AND A FEW INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE ACROSS NORTHWESTERN
PENNSYLVANIA AND THE NORTHEAST TIP OF OHIO.
