READERS FORUM - Monroeville boy enjoys being a scout

Hi, my name is Bryan Kay. I'm a sixth grader at Monroeville Elementary School. I like being a Boy Scout (Troop 239) because I like to go camping, where we get to learn about nature and whatever there is in the area that we camp at. We do a few fundraisers like car washes and selling popcorn. We also meet a few new people at the different campgrounds we camp at. My Scout Master, Terry Meyers, is a real nice guy. He helps me learn about cooking and the different rules about scouting.

The assistant ecoutmaster, Gary Jenkins, really helps me out a lot by making sure I understand the material that they are teaching me. This is why I like my fellow Scouts and Scouting.
