Four local girls’ basketball teams — St. Paul, South Central, Western Reserve and Willard — open district play today. St. Paul takes on South Central at 6:15 p.m. at Lexington High School in Div. IV, Willard meets Shelby in the nightcap (roughly 8 p.m.) at Bucyrus in Div. II while Western Reserve plays Wynford at 6:15 p.m. at Buckeye Central in Div. III.

The state high school wrestling tournament kicks off today in Columbus with 11 area wrestlers competing.

The first “Kitchen Nightmares” episode featuring Norwalk’s Mill Street Bistro will air at 8 p.m. Friday on Fox.

March Madness for the boys kicks into high gear Friday as the 23-0 Norwalk Truckers take on Marion Harding at 6:15 in the Div. I sectional finals at Galion High School. Also, at Norwalk High School, Monroeville meets Plymouth at 6:15 p.m. and St. Paul faces Danbury in the nightcap (roughly 8:15 p.m.) of the Div. IV sectional. In Div. III action at Lexington, New London meets Wynford in the nightcap (roughly 8:15 p.m.), while at Sandusky, Western Reserve plays Lake in the second game (roughly 8:15 p.m.). In Div. II action, Willard takes on Clear Fork in the nightcap (roughly 8:15 p.m.) of the sectional finals in Bucyrus.

Bellevue Society for the Arts will present Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Hirt Theatre, 205 Maple St., Bellevue. Tickets are $10 for adults 18 and older, $8 for adults 60 and older and $6 for students K–12. It is appropriate for all audiences. Call 419-484-ARTS (2787) for reservations.

The combined bands of Edison Middle School and Edison High School will present “Band-O-Rama” at 7 p.m. Friday in the high school gym. People can purchase Band-O-Rama tickets at the door beginning at 6 p.m. or in advance through band members. You may also purchase tickets by stopping at Edison High School from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Adult tickets are $5, while student and senior citizen tickets cost $4. All Edison staff members may receive two complimentary tickets.
