First responders treated a woman for an accidental knife wound at the scene where she reported she was attempting "to be dramatic" during an argument.
The Norwalk police and fire departments and North Central EMS responded to an Ontario Street apartment early Tuesday morning. Police received a call at 12:39 a.m. about the report of a woman who accidentally cut herself with kitchen knife.
Upon arrival, officers reported finding the woman had a "small, shallow puncture wound" on her right side. Three other subjects were there with her.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived about three minutes after police.
"However, (she) refused treatment from them, other than dressing the wound," Capt. Dave Smith said in his police report.
"All the parties at the scene were reluctant to provide any information concerning the incident at first. It was later learned (the woman) held the knife to herself during an argument in what she described as an attempt to be dramatic," Smith wrote. "She stated she accidentally pressed too hard, causing it to pierce her skin."

Why would you get police involved if you are going to refuse treatmant ? Just put a bandage on it and call it a day.
I agree with dearme....why did they call the police/ems? It was her own fault (no crime) and no treatment (waste of services/time). Did they have no bandaids? If they only dressed the wound, it didn't even need stitches, could not have been that bad. She was "trying to be dramatic"? I would say she succeeded.
Stupid is as stupid does.
wow...why not publish her name?
seems she is 51/50 along with dramatic.
yes she succeeded alright!
hope she got charged with disordely conduct or was taken for mental evaluation.
Was there a reported fire?
