HIGHWAY PATROL

Timothy D. Jollay, 24, of Jeromesville, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Monday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Amanda J. Hitsman, 25, of Bexley, on U.S. 250.

Clayton H. Sugaski, 45, of 13 Welton Ave., was charged with failure to yield the right of way Monday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Wilbur Higman Jr., 67, of Wakeman, on U.S. 20.

Lauren T. Metz, 22, of Cleves, was charged with speeding Monday after she hit the vehicle driven by James C. Werner, 30, of 6 Fuller Drive, on Ohio 547. Werner went off the left side of the road, overturned and came to rest in a ditch adjacent to the westbound lane.

Richard C. Crawford, 80, of Nova, was charged with rules for starting and backing in the collision Wednesday with the vehicle driven by Cheri M. Thorne, 39, of Wakeman.

Nicole E. Schwab, 18, of 924 Woodglen Court, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance in the collision Thursday with the vehicle driven by Chester Alexander Jr., 55, of 4666 Whittlesey Ave.

Nicholas J. Ulizzi, 30, of 146 N. Old State Road, was charged with failure to control Thursday after he went off the left side of the road, hit two shrubs and a tree.

NORWALK FIRE

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 3:40 p.m. Thursday on South Wedgewood Drive. Returned to station at 3:58 p.m.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 9:56 p.m. Thursday at 94 Wooster St. Returned to station at 10:11.

NORWALK POLICE

A Norwalk resident brought her daughter to the station Thursday, believing she consumed alcohol.

Agustus McCree, 27, address unknown, was arrested Thursday on a warrant, charged with failure to pay fines and costs and released after posting bond.

A Norwalk resident reported her daughter was bitten Thursday by a neighbor's dog. She was treated at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, and the dog was ordered quarantined for 10 days.

A Westwind Drive business employee reported Thursday a customer was in the store, trying to cash fraudulent money orders. The case remains under investigation.

Thomas A. Bishop, 46, address unknown, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an incident today at a Norwalk business.

Laura Hutchinson, 40, of 185 W. Main St., was arrested today on a warrant and charged with failure to report to jail out of the original charge of driving under the influence. She currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Daniel Gonzales, 25, address unknown, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an incident today at Benedict Avenue business and released to a sober person.

A Courtland Street resident reported prescription medication was missing from his vehicle today.

Angel G. Galvez-Sanchez, 19, of 107 E. Main St., Apt. 5, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, failure to control and underage consumption in connection with a West Main Street traffic stop today. He was placed under administrative suspension effective immediately and taken to the Huron County Jail, where he later posted bond.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office requested a deputy check on the well-being of a Palmer Road, New London, woman Thursday.

A North U.S. 250 resident reported her husband chased a prowler who looked in her window Thursday.

Dispatched the state Highway Patrol and a deputy to Pleasant Street, Wakeman, to assist a Wakeman officer with a foot pursuit Thursday.

A North U.S. 250 resident reported a suspected prowler Thursday.

An area resident reported an undisclosed theft Thursday on Weiss Road, Attica.

A Boughtonville Road, Greenwich, resident reported the theft of a go cart from her back yard Thursday.

Residents on Wenz Road, Wakeman, and Ohio 113, Bellevue, reported domestic disputes Thursday.

An area resident accused a South Ohio 103, Willard, business of refusing to return her dog Thursday.

A Townline Road 12, Willard, resident reported a neighbor dispute Thursday.

A Hartland Center Road, Collins, resident reported being harassed Thursday.

An area motorist reported there was a male pedestrian, suspected of being intoxicated, who was staggering on Ohio 601.

An East U.S. 224, Greenwich, resident accused a juvenile of assaulting another juvenile Thursday.
