Milan Friends Come one and all to a rootin' tootin' wild west adventure at Avalanche Ranch, a vacation Bible school held at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at Milan Friends Church, 2018 Mason Road in Milan. First Presbyterian Church of Norwalk

This Sunday during the 9:30 morning worship service, the Rev. Adrian Doll will conclude the summer preaching series, "Proverbs: Ancient Wisdom for Living Today."

The Missions Committee is receiving donations of school supplies and back packs to help local school children. Supplies donated will be distributed through the Community Action Center. For more information call the church office at (419) 668-1923.

You may support the local Food Bank by bringing donations of peanut butter and jelly July 22.

First United Methodist

Vacation Bible School begins Monday. The theme is SONFORCE KIDS Special Agents. Don't forget to support your Relay For Life team this weekend to help fight cancer. Ladies, the Dorcas Craft Circle is meeting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday at the church. Come join us for crafts and fellowship.

St. Paul Catholic Church

The Spanish Mass will be celebrate at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The next WOW social gatherings for widow/widowers will be held at 6:30 p.m. July 20 at the gathering space. There will be a potluck with meat provided.

Steuben Congregational United Church of Christ

This is the Seventh Sunday after Pentecost. The scripture lessons, based on the theme "Compassionate Neighbors," are Amos 7:7-17, Psalm 82, Colossians 1:1-14, and Luke 10:25-37.

The Rev. Patricia E. Welch, pastor and teacher, will lead worship during the 11 a.m. service. Large print bulletins will be available.

St. Peter Lutheran Church

This church is having "Christmas in July" all month. This is a clothing project for some needy children in Norwalk.

A group of our youth will be attending a week-long mission trip to Charleston, W.Va., through YouthWorks, an organization that plans, supervises and staffs various mission sites around the United States.

Norwalk Baptist Church

This church, located at the corner of U.S. 20 W. and Halfway Road, just west of Norwalk Big Lots, will host its "Under the Big Top" Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 25 to 27. All community pre-schoolers through those having just completed the sixth grade are invited.

Fitchville UMC

This church's annual revival "Show Me the Way" started Friday night and continues today and Sunday at the New London Reservoir. Come and experience this weekend of spiritual renewal with the powerful music, messages, testimonies, worship and communion.

Guest speakers Friday night were Lynda Masters from North Fairfield/New Haven UMC and Delaine McGhee from Grafton UMC. Guest speakers at today's 6 p.m. service will be Tyler Amburgy, youth pastor, and Mike Dunning. Music will be provided by the youth band, Stonecry. Kraut and Coney dogs, nachos and cheese and refreshments will be available.

Sunday's worship service will begin at 9 a.m. The Heart of Ohio Emmaus singers will lead the music and the Rev. Tom Matus will give the message. There will be communion and baptisms in the reservoir.

Norwalk Alliance Church

"Avalanch Ranch" Vacation Bible School is being held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. this week for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Pre-registration made be made by calling the church office at (419) 668-9208.

Sunday's services at 9 and 10:45 a.m. will feature the baptism of four people and the reception of eight new members. The sermon series, Sacred Pathways, will be on "Traditionalists: Loving God through Ritual and Symbol."

The Lady's Ministry of Maple City Church of God, 40 Cline St., will be having a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 21 in the church parking lot.

Mount Harvest Church of God
