Norwalk Food Bank to relocate

Agency leaving upper floor of the Erie-Huron CAC Building.

For many years the Norwalk Area Food Bank has occupied the upper floor of the Erie-Huron CAC Building, 92 N. Prospect St.

The location allowed the Erie-Huron CAC to effectively manage the Norwalk Area Food Bank operations. The facility limitations, however, have created many obstacles that restricted the Norwalk Area Food Bank from growing and more effectively utilizing the available resources.

This week, board members Cindy Liben and Robin Bleile announced the agency is moving to a new location.

A story about the move was published in Thursday's Reflector. To read more, pick up a copy of that issue or subscribe to the e-paper for less than $1 per week and read it now.

With the NAFB moving to larger digs and the obvious increasing need, I wonder if ol' "Jobs, jobs, jobs" Duncan will place it among his list of accomplishments for 2013?

@ NR: Post the Mayor's interview in its entirety on the web. IMO, he kinda "sings" a different tune now that he's had one yr. in office as opposed to when he campaigned on his version of "hope and change."

Contango,
In your research have found how other small town are doing?
In the last 4years of our previous mayor how many factories closed and jobs lost.
Perhaps you could be of help with your vast knowledge of economics and resources

Sorry, I ain't the political "mouthpiece" who campaigned on an insipid promise of "jobs, jobs, jobs," then bought a new fire truck and a new trash truck, failed to voice objections when a bond to buy property for an indefinite fire station was being voted on and now laments over the state of city finances.

So he "inherited" it and it's the previous admin's fault? Now where have I heard that "excuse" before?

If you haven't, read the interview from Weds.

Wonder why the NR "hid" it on pg. A-5?

Winnie, why don't you call the Mayor and give him your advice? You seem to ALWAYS know whats wrong with something, but NEVER how to fix it. Good old "doom and gloom" Winnie. If you couldn't complain, you wouldn't have anything to say.

So you're OK with the new higher water and sewer rates as well as the new cable fees Zippy?

Kottage Kat

Please note
City council voted to finance the fire truck
They spend the$$
You're song is old and if you are not part of the solution you could part of the problem
Rob is very open to hearing from citizens
Have u attended a council meeting or spoken with the mayor?
Thank you

@ Kottage Kat:

And the Mayor has no say in finances?

As a self-acknowledged up-his-tush sycophant: Instead of childishly attacking me for my questions, can you share any performance highlights by ol' "Jobs, jobs, jobs?"

Why waste time talkin'? With very little doubt, comments written on the web NR get read.

I am glad for their moving to a more easily accessible building, one that is better suited for the disabled. My only negative thought on this, is I wonder who owns the building that they are moving into??? I hope and pray that it is NOT the guy that owns the laundromat/dry cleaners... isn't he the same guy that shot and killed 2 of his girlfriends dogs????I hate to see needy people getting too close to "CRAZY" and even paying "CRAZY" any of the taxpayers money...
