Huron County continues to upgrade its 9-1-1 system.
The first issue in need of improvement was to ensure wireless 9-1-1 callers had their calls go to proper dispatchers.
In the past, all 9-1-1 wireless calls went directly to the Huron County Sheriff's Office and then were transferred to appropriate departments. Now, in Norwalk, wireless 9-1-1 calls go to Norwalk police dispatchers.
