HIGHWAY PATROL

Minda A. Ebersole, 19, of 288 Section Line 30, Willard, hit a dear on Fayette Road in Fitchville on Monday.

Justin S. Wilson, 16, of 4873 Ohio 601, was cited for failure to maintain a clear distance Monday after he rear ended the vehicle driven by Rose M. Young, 60, of 4753 Ohio 601 when both were driving north on Ohio 61.

MONROEVILLE PD

An employee with the Monroeville Street Department reported discovering someone wrote obscenities on the playground equipment Thursday at Clark Park.

Steven T. Jones, 46, of 456 W. Townline Road 131, Norwalk, was charged with failure to stop at a red light and an open container violation in connection with a U.S. 20 traffic stop Thursday.

Timothy A. Brant, 26, of 330 Peru Center Road, Monroeville, was arrested and charged with falsification in connection with giving police the name "Ray Brant" during a Fulton Street traffic stop Thursday. Police were assisting the state Highway Patrol at the time. Brant currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Jason A. Hendricks, 21, of 40A S. Main St., Monroeville, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an incident Friday near U.S. 20 and Hollister Street. He was cited and was released to a sober person.

Assisted the state Highway Patrol with a U.S. 20 traffic stop Saturday, near South Peru Center Road. Michael D. Baker, 42, of 4645 Laylin Road, Norwalk, was arrested on an undisclosed felony warrant out of Lucas County. He has been convicted of aggravated trafficking in drugs, burglary, escape, possession of criminal tools and theft of a motor vehicle. Baker's case was dismissed and he was released from the Huron County Jail.

Christopher R. Beier, 30, of 253 Gunther St., Bellevue, was charged with driving under the influence and expired license plates in connection with a U.S. 20 traffic stop Sunday. Police seized his driver's license and advised him he was placed under administrative license suspension. Beier, whose blood alcohol content level was .096, was cited and released to a sober person.

NORWALK FIRE

Assisted North Central EMS with patient care at 9:19 a.m. Tuesday at 383 Milan Ave. Returned to station 9:40.

Responded to an alarm activation following a city-wide power outage at 12:58 p.m. Tuesday at 55 Newton St. Returned to station 1:04.

Assisted North Central EMS with patient care at 6:26 p.m. Tuesday at 27 Bouscay Ave. Returned to station 6:32.

Checked a smoke detector at 11:27 p.m. Tuesday at 23 Norwood Ave. Returned to station 11:38.

A Westwind Drive resident reported her son's blue, GT, BMX-style bike was stolen Tuesday.

An area resident reported a pink and black bike was abandoned near a Baker Street apartment Tuesday.

An Adams Street resident reported her son's cell phone had been damaged during a domestic dispute Tuesday.

An area resident reported her son's cell phone was stolen Tuesday.

A Fruen Street resident reported her son's motorized dirt bike was stolen Tuesday.

Gyllian B. Carter, 20, of Beachwood, was charged with making an improper left turn Tuesday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Bruce Scheuerer, 44, of Crestline, on Benedict Avenue.

Cassandra F. Rhodes, 39, of 520 Milan Ave., was charged with failure to maintain a clear distance after hitting the rear of the vehicle driven by Reggie V. Etherington, 58, of 38 Amber Way, Tuesday on Milan Avenue. The collision forced Etherington's vehicle into the back of the vehicle driven by Andrew R. Brown, 17, of Sandusky.

Erick W. Edman, 41, of Bay Village, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance after hitting the rear of the vehicle driven by Patricia K. Perry, 54, of 12 Oak St., Tuesday on Whittlesey Avenue.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about an intoxicated suspect who was creating a disturbance Tuesday on Ohio 61, Willard.

An Ohio 601 resident reported a domestic dispute Tuesday.

An area motorist reported hitting a dog or raccoon Tuesday on Old State Road.

An East U.S. 224, Greenwich, resident reported vandalism Tuesday.

The Erie County Juvenile Detention Center requested a deputy contact a juvenile's parents Tuesday on Pleasant Street.

An Ohio 601 resident accused someone in a black and gray Chevrolet Blazer of speeding and throwing trash out of the window Tuesday.

An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported someone slashed her son's bicycle tires Tuesday.

A Hartland Center Road, Collins, resident reported someone broke the propane line Tuesday. The residents had a Ferrell Gas official fix it.

Requested a Monroeville officer assist with pushing a disabled vehicle off U.S. 20, Monroeville, Tuesday.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office reported having William M. Reising, 31, of 81 Townsend Ave., Apt. 4, in custody on a local warrant Tuesday. He was charged with domestic violence and on traffic violations out of the New London and Wakeman police departments. Reising is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

An area resident requested a deputy notify a Lake Shore Drive, Willard, relative about a death in the family Tuesday.

An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported her daughter, on probation in Cleveland, was being unruly Tuesday and accused her of domestic violence and of sneaking out of the home.

A DeRussey Road, Collins, resident reported a dog was out of its kennel Tuesday.

The Willard Police Department requested a deputy contact Fisher-Titus Medical Center about a patient who is an area resident's relative who was in critical condition Tuesday.
