A former New London man pleaded guilty to selling marijuana Friday.
Cody L. Catania, 31, now of Mansfield, was convicted of one count of trafficking in marijuana. In a plea deal, prosecutors agreed to dismiss two similar charges.
On Oct. 15, the Huron County Sheriff's Office took Catania into custody after Richland County sheriff's deputies had him in custody on a local secret indictment of three trafficking in marijuana charges. The felonies covered incidents on June 1, 13 and 19.
Catania was transported to the Huron County Jail without incident. Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway released him on a personal recognizance bond after his Oct. 16 arraignment.
He faces six to 12 months behind bars when he is sentenced Feb. 19. Catania is subject to random drug screens.

lol isn't that the truth. poor guy was doing the community a favor and this is what he gets? another reason I don't like cops
What? No CBCF?
Marijuana is SO much worse than heroin. What a freakin' joke this system is.
So it's the Cops fault for putting this no good person behind bars? I don't think it's anyones fault but his. The drug isn't aloud in Ohio until the supreme court says so. It's no different than any other law. A law is a law follow the rules people. It's people like this that don't work and collect our tax dollars for what reason when they I'm sure make more selling drugs. he's just another dirty no good waste of breath in my concern. So go breath the air behind bars instead of mine in the real world.
ignorant. but not surprised
yes it is the cops fault, ive seen them overlook far worse then selling marijuana, but it also depends on what your name is and who youre related to. huron county sheriffs office is corrupt better believe that
Ohio's gonna have to release the murders and thieves. Gotta have room for these "dangerous" pot smokers. What a joke our government is.
