The annual youth fishing derby is set for 8 a.m. to noon July 7 at Veterans Memorial Lake Park.

The summer seasonal science classes will be from 10 to 11 a.m. July 16 to 20. The cost is $3 for one class of $10 for all.

The youth yoga class is slated for 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesdays, July 10 to 31. Children ages 4 to 6 may register. The cost is $12 for members and $16 for all others.

The Hands in the Mud workshop for children will be from 9 a.m. to noon July 13 at the reservoir clubhouse. The cost is $15 per child.

The Huron County master gardeners are offering the "Fast Flowers" class from 1 to 3 p.m. July 7 at the community center meeting room. Cost is $4. Register by July 5.

The third annual "Midnight Madness" is slated for July 13 and 14. Adults 25 years and older may register a team. The event will start at 11 p.m. and continue until 7 a.m. The cost is $50 per team. Register by July 8.

A local jewelry-making class will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 17. The cost is $20 per person (materials will be purchased in class from the instructor). Register by July 13.

The belly dance class will be from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesdays, July 11 to Aug. 15. Cost is $30 for members and $36 for others.

The "Slim Suit" dance class is slated for 5 to 5:45 p.m. continually throughout the summer. Drop-in cost is $3.50 for members and $4.50 for others, with the 12-class card costing $38 for members and $48 for others.
