County treasurer to visit Willard WILLARD For Willard residents wishing to pay property taxes in person without driving to Norwalk, Huron County Treasurer Kathleen Schaffer will be at the Willard Senior Center, 315 E. Tiffin St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 26 for collection. You are asked to pay with a check or money order. No credit/debit card will be accepted. The tax bill must be presented at the time of payment. This is the only day the treasurer will be in Willard. Second-half property taxes are due by 4:30 p.m. July 13. N.L. spring cleanup

NEW LONDON The New London Township free annual spring cleanup is scheduled for 7 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Anything to be picked up should be placed along the roadside. No hazardous materials. All appliances, including untagged refrigerators, will be collected. For more information, contact one of the township trustees.
