Evans new director

John W. Evans, co-owner of the Evans Funeral Home in Norwalk, has been elected a Regional Director and a member of its Board of Directors for the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. The North Region consists of Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ashland, Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Carroll, Stark, Tuscarawas, Holmes, Medina and Wayne counties. OFDA is one of the largest and most progressive state funeral director associations in the country. As a regional director, he will have oversight of five district presidents and serve on the membership and finance committee for the association. Evans was sworn into office at the State Convention in Columbus in May.

John W. Evans, co-owner of the Evans Funeral Home in Norwalk, has been elected a Regional Director and a member of its Board of Directors for the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. The North Region consists of Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ashland, Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Carroll, Stark, Tuscarawas, Holmes, Medina and Wayne counties.

Evans was sworn into office at the State Convention in Columbus in May.

Evans is an active member of a number of local organizations, including a board member of the planning commission with the city of Norwalk, Norwalk Economic and Development's micro-fund committee member, chairperson of the education committee for the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce for the past five years, and officer in the Knights of Columbus.

He lives in Norwalk with his wife, Jennifer (Traczek) Evans.
