First Presbyterian, Norwalk This Sunday during 9:30 morning worship, The Rev. Adrian Doll will continue in the new sermon series, "Proverbs: Ancient Wisdom for Living Today." The church will host a welcome reception for youth director Brandon Newell and his family immediately following the worship service. The community is invited to a summer adult Bible study from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. Wednesdays in the Great Room. Guided by theologian N.T. Wright's new book, "Simply Christian," those attending will explore key doctrines of the Christian faith. St. Joseph/St. Alphonsus

The 5 p.m. Saturday Mass for these parishes has moved to St. Alphonsus for the summer.

The Rev. Al Camp, a native of St. Joseph parish, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood with a mass at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. A reception will follow at the parish social center. Camp, who currently resides at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Madison, Miss., was ordained at the Pontifical College Josephinum on May 25, 1957. He has served the people of Mississippi since 1968.

St. Paul Catholic, Norwalk

Children's Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at the 9 a.m. Mass Sunday. Congregants will celebrate Mass at 5 p.m. Wednesdays for the summer at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine on Main Street. There will be no 9 a.m. Mass on Wednesdays.

The St. Paul baptism ministry team meets with parents to explore the implications of the sacrament of baptism. Upcoming dates for the three-part Monday series for parents are: June 18, 25 and July 2. MONROEVILLE This church will have a summer contemporary worship service this Sunday led by Matt and Cathy Missey.

FITCHVILLE This church is celebrating graduation recognition at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday during services. Both high school and college graduates will be recognized and receive a gift from the church.

First United Methodist

Summer hours are now in effect at the church through Sept. 2. Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday.

The Rev. Edna Stahl, associate pastor, will be leaving for a new assignment. Her last Sunday will be June 24. Her new assignment is at the Aurora United Methodist Church.

Ron Borchardt, organist for the past 10 years, is leaving to take a post at his home church in Sandusky.
