N. Fairfield man assaulted during Bike Week concert

SANDUSKY A 22-year-old North Fairfield man reported being assaulted during a concert Saturday night by the hard rock band Buckcherry during Ohio Bike Week.

"They initially thought his nose was broken," Erie County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Sigsworth said.

Deputies had an ambulance respond to the Erie County Fairgrounds, but the victim declined treatment.

Joshua R. Hunt, 22, of 6095 County Road 191, Bellevue, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault in connection with the altercation. Sigsworth said when the suspect was being booked into the Erie County Jail, officers found a straw with white powder on Hunt which is being tested by the Ohio Bureau of Identification and Investigation for a possible narcotics charge.

Hunt later was released from jail.
