Are you and your friends in need of a Girls' Night Out?

Tickets are available for the eighth annual Girls' Night Out, presented by Fitzgerald Automotive Group.

Girls' Night Out, a charity event that benefits Cancer Services, Fisher-Titus Mammography Fund, Firelands Regional Medical Center Cancer Program Fund and North Coast Cancer Foundation, is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Kalahari Resort Convention Center, U.S. 250, Sandusky. Tickets are $45.

"Preparations are being finalized for this large-scale event," said Doug Studer, co-founder of Girls' Night Out. "Over the years, Girls' Night Out has become a regional event and is truly a community effort to support the local cancer programs that touch so many lives. Our goal is to have 2,000 women attend this year's event."

This year, the Girls' Night Out committee will host the event in Kalahari's newest banquet area and will have the ability to accommodate 2,000 women at the event. Last year, 1,200 women attended a sold out Girls' Night Out.

Doors open for the Nov. 14 event at 4 p.m. Ladies should enter the Convention Center at Entrance B. Attendees will be able to visit vendors from 4 to 6:30 p.m. A buffet-style dinner, served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. will be included with the ticket price.

Entertainment, sponsored by Fifth Third Bank, will be provided by Sally Baucke, who is a professional comedian and keynote speaker with two decades of experience at keeping it clean, encouraging and hilarious. Baucke has entertained thousands with her uplifting humor on the main stage at Hearts at Home conferences in 2008 and 2009, and large business groups such as Procter & Gamble. Other highlights of the evening will be performances by the Chapel Cloggers and Elvis Impersonator, Walt Sanders.

By popular demand, the 'Bras for a Cause' contest, presented by VacationLand Federal Credit Union, also returns this year. More than 55 bras will be displayed at the annual Girls' Night Out event. Entries have a chance of winning prizes up to $400. A silent auction for the decorated bras also will take place during Girls' Night Out with the proceeds benefiting the four local cancer programs.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.girlsnighoutcharily.com. Visa, Master Card and Discover will be accepted. Tickets also can be purchased in advance by cash or check at various locations throughout the area.
