BGSU Firelands' scholarship recipients, donors honored

Bowling Green State University's Firelands campus recently held the 13th annual scholarship breakfast in honor of BGSU Firelands scholarship recipients and donors.

Deb Divers, the director of enrollment management and student retention services at the university, said the point of the event was to give a special recognition to all of the scholarship recipients and donors.

"Back in 1999, we were trying to find a way to increase our visibility, and more importantly, highlight academic successes. We wanted to highlight the importance of scholarships and of giving, and to do it in a way that would give recognition to everybody, especially our recipients and donors."
