Today is the 20th anniversary of rural Greenwich residents Steve and Jennifer Dotson. Their middle son, Noah, turned 16 Tuesday.

This week should be a time of celebrating milestones. Instead, the Dotson family is dealing with the loss of their home.

"It was a total loss," South Central High School Principal Wayne Hinkle said. "It started in the garage; that's all I know."

The Dotson family is staying with Jennifer's parents, Jim and Joanne Hintz. The Dotsons have two other sons: Braydon, 13, is a South Central seventh-grader and Haydon, 17, is a senior. The quarterback-turned wide receiver is on the homecoming court for South Central, which hosts its homecoming Friday.

A story about the fire and the community's response was published on the front page of Wednesday's Reflector.
