Three men sentenced to 11 months in prison for probation violations

Huron County Common Pleas Judge Earl McGimpsey sentenced three men to 11 months in prison Monday for violating their individual community control sanctions. Monroeville resident Jason A. Atkins, 30, of 169 North St., Apt. 2, failed to report to his probation officer as of October and tested positive for opiates, Oxycontin and marijuana, Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Daivia Kasper said. He also failed to pay $250 in fines and $227 in restitution to a relative for a June 21, 2005 conviction on forgery, a fifth-degree felony.
