Local vet says no proof to claim about pet food

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) organization has suggested an excess amount of Vitamin D in pet food is linked to the recent epidemic of pet death, a claim which a local veterinarian disputes. PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk, in an e-mail, writes that evidence does suggest a link between excess Vitamin D and the epidemic.
