Bluegills, bass bite this time of year

Unless something drastic happens, there'll be no more ice fishing this year in area farm ponds. Anglers are putting their ice gear away and turning their thoughts to late April when several species begin to turn active. No more piles of ice cold bluegill fillets, the year's tastiest, no more fun in brisk cold weather, no more action in an off-time when little else is happening.
