Celeryville Christian School students compete in regional Power of Pen

Six Celeryville Christian School students traveled to Avon Lake on March 24 to compete in regional Power of the Pen. Luke Wiers placed fifth in the eighth-grade contest and received a trophy for his efforts. Seventh-grader Emily Brubaker placed seventh among her peers, earning a medal.

Six Celeryville Christian School students traveled to Avon Lake on March 24 to compete in regional Power of the Pen.

Luke Wiers placed fifth in the eighth-grade contest and received a trophy for his efforts. Seventh-grader Emily Brubaker placed seventh among her peers, earning a medal.

Twenty-six schools competed in the contest. Coach Sheri Wiers was pleased with the efforts of all her students, noting the diligence her students demonstrated in preparation for the meet.

The top 20 percent of participants will be eligible to compete in state level competition.
