A Willard woman has been treated and released from a local hospital after a Norwalk woman on Thursday reportedly ran a stop sign for Benedict Avenue, causing a crash.

Helen M. Arbogast, 68, of 51 Woodlawn Ave., was traveling east on Christie Avenue, when she allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign for Benedict Avenue. She entered Benedict Avenue in front of the vehicle driven by Barbara A. Benjamin, 50, of 33 Spring St., Willard. Benjamin, who was driving north on Benedict, reportedly struck Arbogast's vehicle on the passenger side and spun it onto Warren Drive.

Benjamin was taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center by North Central EMS and charged with no operator's license. Arbogast, who wasn't transported to a hospital, was charged with a stop sign violation.
