A Cridersville, Ohio man pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge accusing him of sexually assaulting a child.
Tyler S. Nye, 22, appeared in court in St. Croix County to enter the plea to the felony charge that carries a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison. He was assigned a pretrial for May 27.
Nye was charged after police in Wisconsin arrested him March 1 after catching him in the back of a car with a 15-year-old boy. Both were under a blanket and partially clothed. Nye told police he was in a relationship with the teen and had sex with him.
