A drug defendant has been approved to be screened for possible acceptance into the Huron County Common Pleas Court intervention program.
If Kevin M. Mock, 34, of 4450 Hartland Center Road, Collins, completes an approved substance abuse program, he won't have a conviction on his record. He is charged with possession of amphetamine in connection with an April 19 incident.
Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Richard Woodruff said Mock's record means he appears to be an appropriate candidate for intervention in lieu of conviction.
"He just needs to be evaluated," Woodruff added.
