Attention newly-licensed drivers: the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) wants to hear from you.
The BMV is launching a new contest titled “I Hold the Key to a Safer Ohio.”
Just send the BMV a photo of you with your car keys right after you get your license, along with a brief summary of how you will “Hold the Key to a Safer Ohio” by committing to drive safe. Email the photo and summary to Communications@dps.state.oh.us and you could be featured on BMV’s Facebook page, BMV’s official website and in the Deputy Registrars across the state. Winners will be selected quarterly and receive a special keychain.
Last year, there were nearly 157,000 first-issuance licenses (ages 15-17 years old) in the state of Ohio. This contest is designed to encourage new drivers to commit to driving safe, which will in turn contribute to a safer Ohio.
