Two women were injured, one seriously, after two crashes in the same area between Norwalk and Milan.
At 6:35 p.m. Monday, Kimberly Scheel, 48, of 1166 Peru Olena Road, was driving north on U.S. 250 when she lost control on the icy road, said troopers with the state Highway Patrol.
Scheel went left of center and hit the left side of the oncoming tractor-trailer driven by Roger D. Crilow, 65, of Millersburg, troopers said.
Scheel drove herself to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with minor injuries. She was charged with going left of center.
As crews were tending to that accident, another one occurred in the same area near the Rustic Hills mobile home park.
Marilyn J. Jackson, 66, of Castalia, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance after she hit the rear of the vehicle driven by Therese A. Upperman, 57, of Wooster.
Upperman was slowing down for the previous crash on U.S. 250, troopers said.
North Central EMS transported Jackson to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with serious injuries, troopers said.
