An Oak Harbor woman appeared in the Toledo Municipal Court on Friday after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested her for attempting to convey illegal drugs onto the grounds of the Toledo Correctional Institution.

Troopers charged Ann M. Goode, 42, with attempting to convey suspected marijuana and prescription pills onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a third-degree felony.

Troopers along with Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections investigators were monitoring both Goode and the inmate during a scheduled visit when they observed Goode pass the contraband to the inmate. Goode was arrested and was found to have had in her possession 26 grams of suspected marijuana, two grams of crushed suspected Percocet pills and two-and-half Alprazolam pills.

Goode was incarcerated at the Lucas County Jail. If convicted, she could face up to three years in prison and up to a $7,500 fine.
