Howard Dean Tackett III, 22, of Spring Street, Willard, was sent to jail Monday.
Tackett violated his probationary sanctions earlier this year, according to Assistant Prosecutor Daivia Kasper.
Tackett pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of K2 Spice, which was later dropped, an OVI conviction, failure to pay fines and violating court-mandated curfew.
The possession and OVI charges were the result of a traffic stop in Crawford County by the State Highway Patrol. Troopers witnessed Tackett crossing lanes on the highway, according to the prosecutor's office.
Since Tackett also tested positive twice for substance abuse, the prosecutor told the court the state had run out of beneficial programs to offer him. Hence, the state recommended the jail term which Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway enforced.
