A small workshop fire caused about $500 in damage this weekend.
Twelve firefighters with the Huron River Joint Fire District were called at 7:48 a.m. Friday to the 1400 block of Heyman Road, where some framework caught on fire. The crew had the blaze under control in a matter of minutes.
"It burned up the framework and was contained to the corner," Chief Tom Beck said.
Firefighters returned to the station at 9:30 a.m.
