A tractor-trailer crash early Friday morning closed U.S. 20 for several hours.

The crash occurred at 4:22 a.m. near West Collins Road.

U.S. 20, between Ohio 601 and Ohio 60 in Huron County, was re-opened around 1:45 p.m..

Frank H. Paxson, 48, of Fargo, N.D., was operating a 2007 International semi pulling a box trailer east on U.S. 20, troopers said.

Paxson lost control of his vehicle, went off the right side of the roadway, striking a culvert and power pole. His tractor-trailer overturned, coming to rest on its right side, blocking both lanes of traffic on U.S. 20.

No injuries were reported.

Charges are pending, according to the Highway Patrol.

The road was closed for hours as crews from Ohio Edison repaired the power pole amid wind and snow flurries.

Townsend Township Fire and Rich's Towing also assisted at the scene.
