A Willard motorist with four prior driving under the influence (DUI) convictions was charged with another drunken driving violation this weekend.

Gary D. Lyons Jr., 46, of 4065 Egypt Road, was charged with DUI and a marked lanes violation. Trooper Evan Stevens, of the state Highway Patrol, stopped the driver on Ohio 99 in Willard at 12:33 a.m. Sunday.

Lyons had a breath alcohol content (BAC) level of .161 percent, Stevens reported. That's slightly twice the legal limit for drivers in Ohio of .08 percent.

The driver isn't the same person as Monroeville Police Chief Gary Lyons.

At 2:03 a.m. Saturday, Trooper Austin Young stopped Matthew R. Born, 21, of 1846 Clinton Road, Collins, after he reported running the man's license plate and determined his license was suspended. The traffic stop happened at the intersection of Seminary Street and Benedict Avenue in Norwalk.

Born, who has one prior DUI, was charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license. The trooper reported the motorist's BAC was .188 percent.
