The case against Mario A. Rivas Jr., 25, of Toledo, was dismissed Friday in Huron County Common Pleas Court after he provided a valid prescription for the substances found in his possession, assistant prosecutor Richard Woodruff said.

Wakeman police had originally stopped Joseph Cook, of Toledo, for speeding.

Rivas, a passenger in the vehicle, was wanted on a warrant out of Bowling Green for disorderly conduct.

Rivas was taken into custody for the warrant. After a consent to search was granted, police located a pill vial prescribed to Rivas.

The prescription was for eye drops, but inside were four Vyvanse capsules. Rivas, at the time, was unable to provide a prescription for these pills.
