Local author Eric Ebinger will be signing copies of his second book, "Running Standing Up," at Lindale "M" Broidery and the Book Express from 11am to noon Saturday. "Running Standing Up" is a compilation of journal entries from his training to compete in the Cleveland Marathon last May.

"This book is about setting a goal and sticking to it, a perfect message for January's New Year's resolutions," Ebinger said. "The journal chronicles a new attitude towards achievement and getting back into shape. I lost 50 pounds in the process. It is inspiring, emotional and sometimes hilarious all at the same time."

"Running Standing Up" is Ebinger's second book, following the 2004 release of his Childhood Christmas memoir, "Stringing Up the Lights." Ebinger launched a Web site in March 2007 to promote his writing projects,www.ericebinger.com. This year, his goals include a collection of Ohio narratives titled, "An Ohio Odyssey," as well as the completion of his second childhood memoir, "Kids Called Me Dork: A Reflection of Fourth Grade," currently a blog on his Web site.

Ebinger plans to continue long distance running with a run across the state of Ohio over Labor Day Weekend this year. For more information visit his website or call him at (419) 668-7671.
