n Conducted a random license plate check while checking on the security of the restrooms Wednesday on Marsh Field. Andrea M. Adkins, 39, of 29 Milan Ave., Monroeville, was arrested on passing bad checks warrant. She was released Thursday after posting bond at the Huron County Jail.


n Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 1:05 p.m. Thursday at 196 Main St. Returned to station at 1:15.

n Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 1:19 p.m. Thursday at 290 Benedict Ave. Returned to station at 1:33.

n Extinguished a small brush fire at 6:49 p.m. Thursday behind the garage at 1260 U.S. 20 and talked to the owner about open burning laws. Returned to station at 7:04.

n Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 7:09 p.m. Thursday at 55 N. West St. Returned to station at 7:20.

n Responded to a fire alarm activation at 10:46 p.m. Thursday at 37 Cline St. Returned to station at 11:01.


n Advised of suspected drug activity Thursday on Amber Way.

n The Huron County Adult Probation Office reported having Amy Barnett, 32, of Findlay, in custody on a probation violation warrant Thursday. She is serving a 30-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

n Susan M. Hayes, 58, whose address was unavailable, turned herself in on a warrant Thursday. She was charged with failure to pay fines and costs within 60 days of being convicted of driving with expired license plates and released.

n Guillermo B. Zamano, 19, of 79 N. Prospect St., was arrested on three contempt of court warrants Thursday. He was released later that day after posting bond at the Huron County Jail.

n A Patrician Drive resident reported someone opened a Sprint cellular phone account in his name Thursday.

n Thomas Halbisen III, 24, of 10307 Ohio 99, Monroeville, was arrested on a local probation violation warrant Thursday at the Erie County Jail. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

n A Newton Street resident reported receiving several prank cellular phone calls Thursday.

n Responded to a North Foster Street disturbance Thursday.

n A West Main Street business employee found a wallet belonging to an area man in front of the restaurant Thursday.

n An Ontario Street resident reported the theft of his Xbox video game system and one game Thursday. The incident remains under investigation.

n Lindsey R. Nickoli, 18, whose address was unavailable, was charged with underage consumption in connection with a Rule Street incident today and released.

n Michael A. Sanders Jr., 20, of Lorain, was arrested on five local warrants Thursday at the Ohio Turnpike. He was charged with failure to pay fines and costs on the original convictions of receiving stolen property, theft, vehicle trespassing, permitting another to operate a vehicle without a license and a skateboard violation. Sanders is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

n Nicole L. Fisher, 23, whose address was unavailable, was arrested on a warrant Thursday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs within 60 days of being convicted of driving without a license. She was released after posting bond.

n Charged a male juvenile suspect with a curfew violation today on Newton Street and released him to his mother. Police forwarded a report to the Huron County Prosecutor’s office and Huron County Juvenile Court.


n A Liberty Road, Willard, resident reported receiving threatening messages on his answering machine Thursday.

n The state Highway Patrol reported the car in a Boughtonville Road, Willard, ditch was smoking. A deputy, North Central EMS, the Tri-Community Joint Fire District, Firelands Electric and a medical helicopter responded to the scene.

n An Austin Drive, Willard, resident reported the theft of her husband’s four-wheeler and lawn cart from her shed Thursday.

n A New Haven school employee reported an undisclosed problem Thursday.

n A U.S. 224, Willard, resident reported the trash from two businesses were blowing into his field Thursday.

n An area motorist reported her 6-month-old child was locked in her vehicle Thursday on Hartland Center Road, Collins.

n The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office requested deputies look for a male suspect wanted on domestic violence and criminal damaging charges who fled from their jurisdiction Thursday. The armed man was heading west toward Gore Orphanage Road, New London. Deputies weren’t able to find the suspect last seen wearing a green sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black or brown hat.

n A Smith Road, Willard, resident reported a juvenile who ran away later returned home Thursday.

n A Butler Road, New London, resident reported seeing a vehicle drive past her home shining a spotlight into the fields the last several nights. Deputies determined that another deputy was doing that Thursday.

n Recovered a 2006 Yamaha four-wheeler Thursday on Woodbine Street, Willard, with the Willard Police Department. It had been stolen Tuesday from Austin Drive, Willard. There are no suspects and the incident remains under investigation.
