n No citation was issued Wednesday after an object fell off a northbound commercial vehicle Wednesday and hit the windshield of Donna S. Reed, 42, of Shiloh, who was heading the opposite direction on Ohio 61.

n Kesha N. Slone, 20, of 426 E. High St., Willard, was charged with failure to yield at a stop sign Friday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Cory T. Branham, 23, of 881 Lakeview Drive, Willard, at the intersection of Theo Moll Drive and Ohio 103.

n Misty D. Blankenship, 30, of 3206 Townsend Angling Road, Collins, hit a deer Friday on Townsend Angling Road.

n Cory W. Prelipp, 17, of 794 Townline Road 12, Willard, was charged with failure to yield from a private driveway in the Alpha Road collision Saturday with the vehicle driven by Carl D. Westmoreland, 43, of 214 Motson St., Willard.

n Brooke L. Lopresto, 17, of 401 W. Main St., hit a deer Sunday on U.S. 250.


n Assisted North Central EMS with a patient Friday at 10:24 a.m. at 205 Cline St. Returned to station at 10:40.

n Assisted North Central EMS with a patient Friday at 3:56 p.m. at 66 Norwood Ave. Returned to station at 4:20.

n Assisted North Central EMS with a patient Saturday at 6:41 a.m. at 70 Jefferson St. Returned to station at 7.

n Responded to a downed telephone wire and cut it to get it out of the road at 8:21 p.m. Saturday at 21 W. Willard Ave. The Norwalk Police Department contacted the occupant to explain the situation. Returned to station at 8:30.


n Arrested a 17-year-old boy and Mark A. Hoover, 40, whose addresses weren’t available, in connection with a St. Mary’s Street assault Friday. The 40-year-old victim was treated at Fisher-Titus Medical Center for injuries to his face.

n An area motorist reported the theft of a Sportsman Sirius radio, which had no service on it, from his vehicle at a Theater Drive business Friday.

n Sheila A. McDonald, 44, whose address was unavailable, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a North Prospect Street disturbance Friday.

n An area motorist reported someone hit her 2008 Buick sport utility vehicle while it was parked behind city hall Friday.

n A Concord Court resident accused a relative of breaking several items and leaving in her vehicle Friday. The female suspect voluntarily returned to the station for an interview after being stopped by a Monroeville police officer. Police forwarded a report to the Norwalk Law Director’s office for the consideration of charges.

n Michelle M. Bursley, 21, whose address was unavailable, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Bank Street disturbance Friday.

n A Corwin Street resident reported the theft of a pack of basic menthol cigarettes Friday.

n Dennis A. Schaffer, 50, of 1446 Ridge Road, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Friday after he hit the rear of the stopped vehicle driven by David E. Smith, 34, of 66 S. Linwood Ave., at the intersection of U.S. 250 and Water Street.

n Paul D. Russell, 36, whose address was unavailable, was charged with domestic violence in connection with a Manahan Avenue incident Saturday.

n Joseph L. Dejesus, 30, whose address was unavailable, was arrested on an undisclosed Elyria Police Department warrant Saturday while police were investigating a Benedict Avenue business disturbance. He was released to an Elyria officer.

n Gary L. Bruner Jr., Jonathan M. Broz and Ryan R. Joy, all 19, whose addresses were unavailable, were charged with underage possession/consumption in connection with a Milan Avenue traffic stop Saturday. Police stopped the vehicle because it only had one brake light.

n A Bank Street resident reported telephone harassment Saturday.

n A South Garfield Street resident reported the suspected violation of a no association order Saturday when the suspect followed her in a Jeep from downtown Norwalk to her home.

n A Newton Street resident reported missing a Husky air compressor and Am Pro air tool from the storage shed behind his house Sunday. The victim later called to say the suspect returned the items and admitted to taking them after the complainant confronted the man.

n An area motorist reported someone broke out the back hatch window of her husband’s 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer while it was parked on Firelands Boulevard on Sunday.

n A Jefferson Street resident reported the theft of his unsecured turquoise Hampton Cruiser bicycle from the front of a Whittlesey Avenue business Sunday.


n The Olmsted Township Police Department requested a deputy check Butler Road, Wakeman, for a blue 1994 Nissan on Friday and have the owner contact police.

n A Townline Road 131 resident reported a suspicious person in a red truck labeled “Ohio Edison” was on the side of her home near a meter with a computer-like device Friday. The person, who was confirmed to be a meter reader, was at the wrong address and was in his personal vehicle.

n A Holiday Drive, Willard, resident reported a suspected fraud Friday.

n An area motorist reported someone broke the rear driver’s window of his vehicle Friday and stole a stole sitting on the floorboard. The incident happened at a U.S. 224, Willard, business.

n A West Main Street, North Fairfield, resident reported the theft of a 100-gallon propane tank Friday.

n The Erie County Sheriff’s Office requested a deputy check South Ridge Road, North Fairfield, for a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina stolen from their jurisdiction and the male suspect Friday. Erie County deputies requested a towing service take the car to their impound lot.

n Dispatchers with the Richland County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance for the Plymouth Police Department in connection with a suspect running Saturday on Walnut Street, Plymouth.

n The state Highway Patrol referred deputies to an Ohio 61 accident Saturday, where a snowmobile hit a home. The Townsend Township and Berlin Township volunteer fire departments and Citizens Ambulance were dispatched along with two deputies.

n An Ohio 601 business reported the theft of four tires and rims as well as a seat from a vehicle in the parking lot Saturday.

n The Mansfield Police Department reported having Kim L. Miller, 39, of Mansfield, in custody on four failure to report to jail warrants Sunday. He is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

n Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about an attempted break-in Sunday on Chenango Road, Wakeman.

n A Hartland Center Road, Collins, resident reported a domestic incident in a nearby apartment Sunday and later was threatened by one of the subjects.

n Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about a Neal Zick Road, Willard, assault Sunday.

n An Austin Drive, Willard, resident reported a domestic dispute Sunday.

n Dispatchers advised authorities in adjacent counties about a vehicle stolen from an East U.S. 224, Greenwich, home Sunday.

n Dispatched North Central EMS and a deputy to East Ohio 61 after getting a call Sunday from Lifeline about an 84-year-old woman with a history of falling. Someone picked up the telephone after a dispatcher called, but didn’t answer. A deputy later reported there was no problem.

n A Wells Road, Collins, resident reported mailbox vandalism Sunday.

n A Snyder Road, Willard, resident reported vandalism to a motorcycle Sunday.
