n Linda A. Crawford, 52, of 14 Westwood Drive, New London, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after her vehicle spun while heading north on an icy portion of Chenango Road. She went off the right side, and hit a utility pole with the left rear side of her car. Crawford wasn’t transported for minor injuries.


n An area resident reported her 32-year-old nephew was assaulted at a South Norwalk Road business Wednesday.

n Responded to the Norwalk High School parking lot Wednesday, where someone smashed the driver’s side door of a student’s 2001 Hyundai Elantra.

n An area resident reported there was a pink Murray Mt. Climber bicycle abandoned Wednesday on North Garden Street.

n A customer at a West U.S. 20 business reported $85 was missing from her purse Wednesday, which she had left in the bathroom and someone turned in to an employee.

n Matthew E. Woods, 19, whose address was unavailable, was issued a summons Wednesday on riding an all-terrain vehicle within the city limits Wednesday in connection with driving through an Ohio Street grain elevator.

n Served a domestic violence warrant Wednesday on Jamie A. Brant, 21, whose address was unavailable, who also was given a copy of a related protection order. He was released after posting bond.

n Clayton A. Blair, 26, of 21 Newton St., turned himself in on five contempt of court warrants Wednesday. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

n The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office faxed police a warrant Wednesday in connection with the arrest of Scott L. Pocock, 33, of 78 Christie Ave. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail awaiting a rule-4 hearing on importuning with a minor.


n An Ohio 601 resident reported a domestic incident Wednesday.

n A Medusa Road resident reported someone filled his mailbox with shaving cream Wednesday.

n Willie S. Dye, 39, of 4100 Niver Road, Willard, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday and charged with failure to appear on a speeding charge. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

n An area resident requested a deputy check on the well-being of a Fitchville River Road, Wakeman, resident for an undisclosed reason Wednesday.

n An Ohio 99, Willard, resident reported missing several guns Wednesday.

n An area resident reported missing his cell phone Wednesday.

n The Plymouth Police Department reported having Jennifer L. Skaggs, 33, of Sandusky, in custody on a driving with a suspended license charge Wednesday. She also was arrested on a warrant and charged with failure to report to jail on a falsification charge. Skaggs is serving a 120-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

n A Laylin Road resident reported mailbox vandalism Wednesday.

n Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about a vehicle in an Ohio 99, Willard field Wednesday. A Willard police officer later reported an ambulance had been dispatched for the rollover accident in which a victim was trapped in the vehicle.
