You're now a judge, not a prosecutor

The clich of old habits dying hard must be true for former prosecutors.
Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway, whose first day was Monday, said multiple times "the state" was hearing a criminal case, instead of "the court" during various pretrial hearings and arraignments. Huron County Prosecutor Russell Leffler reminded the new judge of his verbal faux pas when Conway said the wrong thing for the second time in three hearings.
