A Willard man was sentenced to 11 months in prison Monday for violating his three years of probation.
Michael Hall, 21, of 611 Wessor Ave., Apt. 14, quit a community-based corrections facility (CBCF) in June, Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Daivia Kasper said. In May, Hall had agreed to go the prison-like facility which focuses on substance abuse treatment and education for a previous probation violation.
Prosecutors had agreed to dismiss the complaint filed May 9 once Hall was admitted to the CBCF. Hall failed to make probation office visits and didn't notify authorities of his change of address or employment as of March 14. He also failed to complete substance abuse treatment and didn't pay his fines or restitution.
His original crime involved the theft of an all-terrain vehicle. Hall was credited with serving about six months behind bars, meaning he has about five months to go, Kasper said.
