Willard doesn't need more taxes

This is for the Willard city manager and the city council:
I see the Willard residents get to vote on a tax hike. The way I see it, if the city has the money to furnish a cruiser for an officer to drive home every day, all the way out on Ohio 598 almost to the Richland County line, why should we have to pay more taxes.
I've traveled Ohio 598 a lot in the last couple years. I've seen the cruiser parked behind the house for some time now. The officer must work the last shift because you can pass in the day or the evening and it is parked there. The city could cut other expenses like this that the residents don't know are going on.
It's OK that citizens have to cut their expenses no matter what hardship it might cause the family. So, I don't see where a tax hike is needed.
