Time for innovative approach to education

Recent news reports are cause for concern about the state of education in Ohio.

Western Reserve High School, close to home, announced 20 teachers were being laid off because of a budget shortfall. Last week, Lorain gave 240 teachers the ax. On Tuesday, the Sandusky Register reported that nine Sandusky teachers had been given layoff notices and more could be following.
