As we advance into the 21st century, we find ourselves comfortable with the computer breakdowns that never happened, and all that we are afraid of never came. As we look back on the progression of our society and its authors of the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution, we can't help but know these men were smart to no end. As these individuals finalized each document, we should be able to visualize, all agreeing that as we interrupt and implement these findings, we must use our common sense, hence (The common sense approach). The upside of this is progress, and the downside is each year we get farther and farther away from its intention, both in time and principle.
We realize there are state and federal government rules and regulations we must adhere to, but the common sense approach should still be a big part of our government. A common sense attitude is what Karen Reer will bring to the village of Monroeville. She also will bring her past business experience and leadership skills made evident with her tremendous success with the many years she had with the Monroeville cheerleaders. Along with her hard work with her church and civic contributions, her duty to school and community, as well as her success with raising a family.
I am an outsider looking in, but with deep roots in the community. I have known Karen a lot of my life, and all of hers, and can attest to the honesty and integrity she will bring with her.
