Kiwanis name student of month

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis have announced Kathryn Wallrabenstein is the October Student of the Month at Edison High School.

She has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.

Her activities: Honor Roll all quarters; scholarship varsity letter; National Honor Society; Hugh O’Brian Youth Ambassador; Student of the Quarter; Buckeye Girls State - elected senator; perfect attendance; art club secretary, historian, president; French Club; math club; math club president; Key Club; academic challenge team; mock trial lawyer; speech and debate sapphire pin, secretary, ruby pin, double varsity letter, president; student council; Future Teachers of America; GTCTM math contest; OCTM math contest; varsity soccer; member of 4-H for six years; Ohio State Fair participant;  member of church youth group; vacation bible school counselor and recreation advisor; blood donor; and takes private piano, percussion and horseback riding lessons.

Wallrabenstein is considering Capital University, Ohio Northern University, Cast Western Reserve University and the University of Michigan to study pre-law. She plans on attending law school and is considering becoming a senator. She is the daughter of John and Shirley Wallrabenstein of Milan.
