Troopers are investigating an incident Saturday after the unknown driver of a tan pickup truck heading north on Ohio 60 stopped for the Ohio 18 stop sign and failed to yield to the vehicle driven byTerrance F. Mazzone, 51, of Wellington. Mazzonne hit his brakes and swerved off the right side of Ohio 18 to avoid a collision and hit a traffic sign, becoming stuck in a ditch. The other driver left the scene.
Becky K. Bores, 55, of 2380 Hanville Corner Road, Monroeville, was charged with failure to control Saturday after she went around a metal object on Peru Center Road. Her car went off the right side, rolled over several times and came to rest upright. Bores took herself to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with minor injuries.
Nathan A. Goodell, 27, of 4866 Medusa Road, was charged with failure to yield the right of way Saturday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Lawrence E. Hall, 56, of 4221 Cook Road, New London, at the intersection of Ohio 18 and Hartland Center Road.
