"I was downright red-hot angry last week. A senior interviewer for a popular, respected evening news program, "60 Minutes," was talking with an American sergeant. Our young warrior admitted shooting dead four Iraqis who were fleeing from a car he had stopped. The interviewer was experienced. But one question he asked sure raised my blood pressure. His sanctimonious, editorial question was something like: 'How does your conscience feel now that you have taken these lives of poor innocent men who were only trying to run away?'
"Like many who have never been in such deadly jeopardy, the sad excuse for a news person just doesn't understand the stress these 20-something GI's are under.
