Quilt show

NEW LONDON - The New London Quilt Guild's first annual quilt show is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the New London Grange Hall on East Main Street, with all quilts on display made or owned by guild members.

Tickets will be available for the drawing for the flower basket quilt made by members, and there will be demonstrations throughout the day, as well as door prizes. Admission is free and more information is available from Cathy Ake at (419) 929-4831.

Library meeting

WAKEMAN - The annual meeting of the Wakeman Friends of the Library will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Wakeman Community Library at 33 Pleasant St.

The agenda will include election of officers and preparations for the Fireman's Festival July 29. Refreshments will be served and all interested people are invited.

Surplus computer sale

MONROEVILLE - Monroeville Local Schools is holding this sale at 8 a.m. Monday.

First-generation iMacs will be sold for $25, while second-generation iMacs will go for $40, as will G3 Towers. All computers have been tested and are working, with the original software installed. All sales will be final, with no warranty. The sale will be "first-come, first-served" until sold out.

WR reunion

WAKEMAN - The Western Reserve class of 1987 will hold its 20th reunion from 7 to 10 p.m. June 29 at the Wakeman Eagles at 35 E. Main St. The dinner, which will be catered by Sterk's is $15, and there will be a cash bar.

Tiffin flea market

TIFFIN - This event will take place July 7 and 8 at the Seneca County Fairgrounds, 100 Hopewell Ave., Tiffin.

Free 0il changes for seniors

As a gesture of good will, members of Victory Baptist Church in Norwalk will change the oil and filters for motorists 65 and older, as well as single mothers. The service will be provided between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 30.

To sign up for the free service, either stop by the church at 132 Gallup Ave., or call its office at (419) 668-6532 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays and ask for Valerie. Refreshments will be available.

Bus tour to see gardens

A Master Gardeners' bus tour to see the Heritage Gardens at the Governor's Mansion in Columbus is planned for Tuesday.

Departure time will be 8:30 a.m. from the County Administration Building on Milan Avenue with return estimated at 7 p.m. There also will be a stop at Inniswood Park and Gardens and a chance to shop at a nearby garden center/nursery.
