HURON - The songs of famed musical theater team Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein will come alive Nov. 1 through 4 at BGSU Firelands.
A 25-member ensemble cast will perform "Some Enchanted Evening: The songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein" at 8 p.m. Nov. 1-3 and 2:30 Nov. 4 in BGSU Firelands' McBride Auditorium.
"Some Enchanted Evening" features some 40 familiar and not-so-familiar songs from the stage, film, and television musicals created by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
From their first joint effort, "Oklahoma!" to their final offering, "The Sound of Music," they created numerous songs which remain classics of American music.
The revue celebrates their musical genius and the universality of their thought and sound.
The cast includes: Steven R. Koenig, George Muehlhauser, John Nestra, Richard Schuh, Cynthia Brown, Lindsay Kaatz, Abigail Koehler, Ann Marie Muehlhauser and Emily Wiseman of Huron; Anthony Fryman, Anthony D. Gardner, Drew Jacobs, Jude McCormick, Brett Minor, Dorian Evans, Jeannette Harvey and Arlene Eishen Strohl of Sandusky; Chuck McKenna of Norwalk; Emily Adkins of Port Clinton; Kelsea Freeman of Vermilion, Trisha Kurtz of Castalia, Susan Fritz of Attica, and Alyssa Hoyer and Cathaleen Rose Quinones of Wakeman.
Regular admissions are $8 for Adults, $6 for senior citizens and BGSU Firelands faculty, $5 for children and students, and $4 for BGSU Firelands students. Groups of 15 or more are $6 per person.
