Norwalk’s girls tennis team clinched an SBC Lake title share among the main highlights from Monday’s prep action.
The Division IV No. 4-ranked Eagles (11-0) beat the No. 11-ranked Buckettes (9-3) in three games on Saturday in New Washington to remain unbeaten.
With a share of first place on the line, the Division IV No. 4-ranked Monroeville volleyball team stayed unbeaten with a three-game sweep over visiting Western Reserve on Thursday.
St. Paul swept South Central, while Willard and Bellevue volleyball picked up volleyball wins in SBC action on Thursday. The Norwalk, Edison and Willard tennis teams were also victorious.
Monroeville, St. Paul, Western Reserve and Plymouth picked up Firelands Conference volleyball wins on Tuesday; Norwalk girls tennis stayed unbeaten in league play.
The Truckers edged previously unbeaten Perkins by a stroke (163-164) to force a tie atop the standings; Norwalk, Edison and Willard tennis all cruised to league wins on Monday.
The Truckers blasted visiting Brookside in boys and girls non-league soccer matches on Saturday, while Monroeville volleyball defeated Edison.
After dropping Game 2, the Lady Flyers won the third and fourth games convincingly to pick up the victory over previously unbeaten Western Reserve on Thursday.
Norwalk boys golfers pick up another league win to set up a showdown vs. Perkins next week to also highlight the Thursday prep action around the area.
Norwalk tennis wins again, while the Trucker girls and Edison soccer teams also picked up a league wins among the local prep action on Wednesday.

Monroeville volleyball also stayed unbeaten with a four-game sweep at Holland Springfield on Saturday; A pair of St. Paul runners were third overall at the Bucyrus Elks Invitational.
Norwalk beat the Crimson Flashes, but fell to Mantua Crestwood on Saturday at the Norwalk Invitational. Willard also dropped matches to Tiffin Calvert and Chardon Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin.
Western Reserve, Monroeville, St. Paul and South Central picked up Firelands Conference wins on Thursday as area teams had a good night on the court.
Truckers (8-1) topped the Crimson Flashes (4-2) in a meeting between last season’s SBC Lake and Bay Division champions.
