Caryl Crane's 'Finian’s Rainbow' showing this weekend

HURON — A colorful and popular musical performance will be in the Huron area this weekend. 

Caryl Crane Children’s Theatre will present the Broadway musical “Finian’s Rainbow.”

Finian’s Rainbow is a musical theatre fantasy about an Irishman who steals a pot of gold and is intertwined with metaphors, witty music and humor. “Finian’s Rainbow” originally opened on Broadway in 1947 and ended its original run in 1948, which encompassed 725 performances.

Featuring 30 students from 14 area schools, “Finian’s Rainbow” is directed by Brian Marshall, the Caryl Crane Children’s Theatre artistic director. The show will be on the McBride stage in the North Building at BGSU Firelands.

All tickets can be purchased through Sandusky State Theatre’s ticketing system at sanduskystate.com.

“Finian’s Rainbow’ is the perfect outing for this wintery weekend,” Marshall said. “It’s charm, humor and wonderful music will warm even the most frozen heart.”
